postheadericon Avocado Juice

Avocado, the highly nutritious fruit is widely known to have excellent health benefits. Avocados contain high fat content. But researches found substituting avocados in our diet can help lower bad cholesterol levels (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL), thus protecting us from heart diseases. The fruit is also highly beneficial to eyes, stomach and helps strengthen the immunity system and wards off diseases. There are plenty of other benefits too.

But as the fruit is not so sweet , many of them seem to dislike it. But we can have it in another tasty way, JUICE!!!

Tips:
  • Try to get ripe avocados, as unripe ones can affect the taste of the juice. Use the avocados as soon as you cut them. They can quickly turn brown after exposure to air.
  • You can add in more sugar if you love sweet juice.
  • If you are out of milk, use condensed milk as its substitute. If using sweetened condensed milk, cut out the sugar. Otherwise you'll end up with juice with too much sweet. If you don't have any of these on hand, you can use evaporated milk.
  • If vanilla extract in not available, you may add a pinch of cardamom powder.
Ingredients:

1 avocado, ripe

1/2 cup sugar

100ml cold water

500ml cold milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

1. Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed.

2. Using a spoon, scoop out the pulp completely, leaving away the skin.

3. Add the pulp , sugar and water into a blender and blend well.

4. Next add milk, vanilla extract and blend for about 1 minute.

5. Pour into a glass and serve chilled.

Good luck with the preparation.
