postheadericon Simple Custard Pudding

This is a simple custard pudding recipe that even a starter can do if you have the required ingredients that can be found almost anywhere around the globe. This is prepared with just 3 ingredients and let's say no to eggs for now. But it tastes so smooth and creamy just like other puddings. If you have it once, I'm sure you'd love it. Especially kids would cry for more! So let's get down to work. But before we start, let's take a look at few tips.

Tips:
  • You can add nuts of your choice for garnishing.
  • You may adjust sugar to your taste.

Ingredients:

1 litre milk

1/2 cup sugar

4 tablespoons custard powder

crushed pistachios

Method:

1. In a heavy bottom pan, add milk and sugar. Using a wooden spoon, stir until the sugar is dissolved.

2. Take 4 tablespoons from the prepared milk to a small bowl. Add the custard powder to this bowl and mix well.

3. Pour this mixture to the milk we prepared in the 1st step and stir well.

4. Boil the milk until thick or the pudding sticks to the back of the spoon. Remember to stir constantly once kept on flames.

5. Turn off the heat. Immediately transfer it to the serving plates. Otherwise it will get thicker and be difficult to handle.

6. Garnish with pistachios on top. Cool down and the custard pudding is ready to be served.

Good Luck with the preparation!
